Launched in December 2019, YSR Nethanna Nestham is a welfare scheme by the Department of Handlooms & Textiles, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The scheme is designed to support handloom weavers by providing financial assistance to modernize equipment and help them compete with the growing powerloom sector.
Under this scheme, ₹24,000 per annum is provided to every eligible weaver family owning a handloom, enabling them to sustain and enhance their livelihood.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a resident/domicile of Andhra Pradesh

Mode: Online (auto-enrollment from departmental database)

Process:

Assistant Director (H&T) compiles and submits the list of eligible weaver families with bank details and Aadhaar numbers after approval from District Collector/DLC

Director of Handlooms & Textiles, A.P., transfers funds directly to the beneficiaries through DBT via CFMS Portal

Social audit conducted through village/ward volunteers to re-verify data, update records, and identify any missed or ineligible cases
