The Women Scientist Scheme-C is an initiative by the Ministry of Science and Technology designed for female candidates who have experienced a break in their career and are interested in addressing societal challenges through innovative science and technology interventions. This one-year training programme focuses on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), patent search, know-how, drafting, filing, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright. The scheme is implemented by the Patent Facilitating Centre of the Technology Information Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC) in association with various knowledge partners, including law firms, Knowledge Processing Organizations (KPOs), companies, and government agencies.
Benefits
- Stipend Rates:
- ₹35,000/- per month for candidates pursuing Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Sciences/MD or equivalent degree.
- ₹30,000/- per month for candidates pursuing M.Phil / M.Tech / M.Pharm / M.VSc or equivalent degree.
- ₹25,000/- per month for candidates with an M.Sc in Basic or Applied Sciences / MBBS / B.Tech or equivalent degree.
