The “Winter Cropping & Development of Cultivable Land Scheme” was launched by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of Meghalaya. The scheme aims to:

Expand the cultivated area during the lean winter season with crops other than paddy.

Increase the production and productivity of various crops—including cereals, pulses, oilseeds, and vegetables—during the Rabi season.
