WB Textile Incentive Scheme: Get 100% Waiver for Land Conversion and Mutation Fees

The “Waiver of Fees for Land Conversion and Mutation” is a sub-scheme under the “West Bengal Textile Incentive Scheme”, launched by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal on 13 December 2022, and is valid for five years from the launch date.

The objective of this incentive is to encourage investment in the textile sector, from fibre to finished garments, by extending financial benefits, including waiver of land conversion and mutation fees, to promote accelerated development and job creation in the state.

Benefits

• 100% waiver of fees for land conversion and mutation as approved under the eligible textile project

Eligibility

• Industries involved in manufacturing and processing of:

  • Textiles

  • Apparel

  • Technical textiles

• The enterprise must:

  • Have started commercial production on or after 1st April 2022

  • Belong to the private, cooperative, joint sector, or be a State Government undertaking

  • Have a project approved and sanctioned by a Central/State Financial Institution or Commercial Bank

  • Possess:

    • Registration Certificate

    • Date of Commencement Certificate

    • Eligibility Certificate issued by the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited

Exclusions

• Industrial units that have:

  • Already received incentives under other State Incentive Schemes

  • Been issued eligibility certificates but have not submitted claims or received sanctions

Registration Steps:

2. Fill in the mandatory fields

3. Click “Register” to complete the process

1. Visit the user login page of the portal

2. Login using your registered Email ID and Password

3. Fill out the eligibility form

4. Complete the Common Application Form (CAF)

5. Fill out Form A and Form C (if applicable)

6. Download and self-sign Form A and Form C

7. Upload the signed copies

8. Submit your application
