The “Incentive for Energy Efficiency” is a sub-scheme under the “West Bengal Textile Incentive Scheme”, launched by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal on 13 December 2022, and is valid for a period of five years.
The objective of this scheme is to encourage energy efficiency in the textile sector, including fibre to stitched garments, by reimbursing costs associated with energy audits and conservation installations, thereby improving sustainability and reducing operating expenses.
