 The Child Welfare Scheme for Labourers’ Children is a component of the Integrated Coffee Development Project initiated by the Coffee Board, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Eligibility

  1. Children of SC/ST Labourers:

    • First two surviving children of SC/ST labourers are eligible. If the second child is part of a multiple birth (twins, etc.), assistance will be granted to all children, provided they meet merit requirements.

    • Students must be pursuing higher studies such as PUC (Pre-University Course), Polytechnic, or Vocational Training after successfully passing SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate).
    • Students pursuing graduation, post-graduation, or professional courses are eligible for financial assistance if they have completed 12th grade or 2nd PUC.
  3. Institution Requirements:

    • The educational institution must be recognized by the government.
  4. Exclusions:

    • Children of Clerks, Drivers, Supervisors, and Estate/Curing Works Managers are not eligible.
