Maharashtra Motor Driving Training Scheme: Free Training for VJNT, OBC & SBC Candidates

The Government of Maharashtra has launched a motor driving training scheme that provides light and heavy motor driving, and conductor training to eligible candidates from the Vimukta Jati, Nomadic Tribes (VJNT), Other Backward Class (OBC), and Special Backward Class (SBC) categories.

The primary objective of this scheme is to generate employment opportunities for the VJNT, OBC & SBC youth by equipping them with motor driving skills through government-approved private motor driving schools.

Under this scheme, selected candidates will receive training along with free lodging, boarding facilities, license fees, and other benefits.


Benefits

  1. Financial Assistance for Training:

    • Light Motor Driving (40 Days) → ₹4,264/-
    • Heavy Motor Driving (40 Days) → ₹4,960/-
    • Conductor Training (8 Days) → ₹1,728/-
    • An additional ₹100 per student is paid for license processing and postage charges.
