Benefits
- Financial Assistance:
A maximum of ₹2,00,000/- is provided or the actual cost of the self-employment unit, whichever is lower. - Utilization Requirement:
The entire amount of ₹2,00,000/- must be utilized solely for self-employment generation. - Covered Fields:
Eligible fields include, but are not limited to:- Manufacturing, servicing, and petty businesses with significant local demand.
- Retail shops.
- Small IT centers and IT service centers.
- Agriculture and horticulture ventures or retail shops related to agricultural equipment.
- Livestock farming, including cattle and poultry, along with related feed retail shops.
- Tourism agencies.
- Sericulture farms.
- Fish farming.
- Manufacture and sale of biodegradable disposable items and craft paper.
- Solid waste management and associated activities.
- Dairy farms and manufacture/sale of dairy products.
- Restaurant business.
- Food processing units.
- Flower farming and related activities.
- Excess Financing:
If the total project cost exceeds ₹2,00,000/-, the excess must be self-financed by the applicant. However, the sanctioning authority can facilitate the applicant to avail this component as a Mudra Loan.
Eligibility
- Age Group:
The applicant must be between 18 to 40 years of age. - Incident-Related Criterion:
The applicant should have lost a family member or been permanently incapacitated due to an insurgency-related incident, cross-border shelling, or mine blast. - Permanent Incapacitation:
Defined as a disability of 50% or more that is permanent with no chance of improvement, rendering the victim unable to work. - Exclusions:
Individuals involved in anti-national activities, directly or indirectly, and their family members are not eligible for assistance.
Application Process
Offline Process
- Application Submission:
- Applicants must file their claims using the prescribed form (Annexure-1) along with the required documents.
- Claims should be submitted to the concerned Deputy Commissioner within two years of the incident. In deserving cases, the CEO of Mission Youth may relax the time limit.
- Submission:
- The completed application along with all mandatory documents must be submitted offline.
Documents Required
- Certificate regarding non-involvement in militancy/anti-national activities from the concerned SDPO.
- Death cum Post Mortem Certificate (if applicable).
- Medical Certificate (for incapacitation of 50% or more).
- Proof showing the relationship of the beneficiary with the victim (not required if the victim is the claimant).
- Date of Birth Certificate.
- Unemployment certificate from the Employment Department.
- Project report or detailed plan about the self-employment unit to be established.
- Undertaking/NOC from other family members indicating they have no objection to the beneficiary receiving assistance.
