Eligibility Criteria

General Requirements

  • The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • The applicant’s family income must not exceed ₹ 2,50,000 per annum.

Course-Specific Requirements

  1. Higher Secondary (HS) Students

    • Must have secured at least 60% marks in the Madhyamik Pariksha (excluding optional subjects).
    • Only students from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) are eligible.
  2. Diploma Courses (Polytechnic, D.El.Ed)

    • Must have secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination.
    • The course must be AICTE/PCI/CoA approved and affiliated with WBSCT&VE&SD.
  3. Undergraduate (UG) Students

    • Must have secured at least 60% marks in the Higher Secondary (HS) exam conducted by WBCHSE/Madrasa Siksha Parishad.
  4. Postgraduate (PG) Students

    • Must have secured at least 53% marks in Honours subject at the graduation level.
    • Kanyashree scholarship recipients (K3 scheme) with 45% marks in UG can apply without income proof.
  5. Research Level (M.Phil./Ph.D.)

    • Must be registered after April 1, 2017.
    • The scholarship is provided for 2 years (M.Phil.) and 4 years (Ph.D.).
