Haryana’s Ministry of Education and Department of Education initiated a “Merit Scholarship to Undergraduate Girl Students” scheme in which meritorious girls are motivated to take undergraduate courses without worrying about finances. Under the scheme, scholarships annually to those girls who cleared their 10+2 exam with high merit and are taking undergraduate courses in the government colleges will be provided with an amount of ₹3,000 per student.

Conditions for Scholarship Renewal:
- The scholarship is valid for three years during undergraduate studies.
- The applicant must secure at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination each year.
- If a student is unable to appear for the annual exam due to illness, they may submit a valid medical certificate for renewal approval.

Mode of Disbursement: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Eligibility:
- The applicant must be a girl student.
- The student must have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks.
- The student should be enrolled in a government college in Haryana for undergraduate general degree courses (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, etc.).
- The applicant must not be receiving any other scholarship or stipend from any other government source.
- Preference: Higher marks will be given preference. In case of equal marks, preference will be given on: Marks are computed up to three decimal places. If marks continue to be on a par with each other, the younger one will be granted preference.
Exclusions:
- Children pursuing correspondence or open university studies are excluded. If it’s discovered that the applicant has filled in wrong information or incomplete facts, the scholarship will be annulled.
