The Specialized Treatment & Medical Assistance Scheme is a welfare initiative by the Puducherry Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (PBAOCWWB), Labour Department, Union Territory of Puducherry. The scheme provides financial assistance of up to ₹2,00,000/- to registered construction workers for specialized medical treatment in hospitals that have tie-ups with Government General Hospitals. The financial assistance is directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Applications for the scheme are accepted offline.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.

Application Process
Offline Application Process
- Obtain the Application Form
- Visit the Office of the Puducherry Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (Industrial Estate, Thattanchavady, Puducherry – 605 009) and collect the form.
- OR, download and print the prescribed application form from Page No. 83 of the Citizen’s Charter.
- Fill the Application Form
- Complete all mandatory fields.
- Paste a passport-sized photograph (signed across if required).
- Attach self-attested copies of the required documents.
- Submit the Application
- Submit the filled-in application form along with the documents to the designated authority at the Board’s office.
- Request an acknowledgment receipt after submission. Ensure the receipt contains:

- Unique Identification Number (if applicable)
