Tamil Nadu, Backwards Classes(BC), Most Backward Classes( MBC) and Minorities Welfare Department has recently launched a useful initiative named as “Scholarships for students studying in Central Govt. Institutions like IIT, IIM, IIIT, NIT and Central Universities. This is for help the deserving students of tamil nadu from BC(MBcs), most Backward classes and Denotified Communities(DNC). It helps those studying in undergraduate or postgraduate level at an elite institution like iits; iim & iimt_ iiits; nits and central Universities. The scheme provides full reimbursement of their yearly tuition fees, examination fees,and other indispensable expenses for eligible students so they can avail high quality of education with ease.
Benefits
- Financial Assistance: Reimbursement of tuition fees, exam fees, and other compulsory fees up to ₹2,00,000/- per year.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a student pursuing UG/PG courses in IITs, IIMs, IIITs, NITs, or Central Universities.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.
- The applicant must belong to the Backward Classes (BC), Most Backward Classes (MBC), or Denotified Communities (DNC).
- The annual family income of the applicant’s parents should not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.
