The Scholarship to Scheduled Castes Students Studying in Government ITIs was launched in 2017-18 by the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes, Government of Haryana. The scheme is implemented by the Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, Haryana, and is 100% funded by the Haryana State Government.
The objective of this scheme is to facilitate SC students in getting enrolled for skill development and enhancement training schemes and to give them assured self-employment and jobs in the private as well as government sectors.
Benefits under the Scheme
- Scholarship of ₹200 per month would be granted to SC students studying in Government ITIs in Haryana.
- Tuition fees worth ₹15 per month to eligible students will be reimbursed.
- No scholarship will be awarded to the students who fail in the exams.
- The scholarship is disbursed in two installments every year of the study:
- First installment (50%) – Distributed at the time of admission
- Second installment (50%) – Distributed after completing the attendance requirements that are mandatory for sitting in the examination
- The scholarship amount will be credited directly to the student’s Aadhaar-linked bank account. No cash payments.
Eligibility Criteria
- The student must be a member of the Scheduled Caste (SC) community of Haryana.
- The student must be a resident of Haryana.
- The student should be enrolled in any Government ITI in Haryana.
- The student should not be receiving benefits from any other state or central scholarship scheme.

Offline Application Procedure
- Obtain the Application Form from the Head/Principal of the Government ITI where the applicant is enrolled.
- Carefully fill all the required details in the application form.
- Attach the required documents as mentioned below.
- Submit the completed application form to the concerned authority in the ITI.
- After verification, the government will transfer the scholarship amount to the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the candidate.
