Benefits

Financial Assistance under the Scheme:
Dairy Units (2/3 milch animals):
  – 50% subsidy on the cost of milch animals purchased through a bank loan
Piggery Units (10+1):
  – 50% subsidy on the cost of livestock, with a maximum financial assistance of ₹50,000/-
Sheep/Goat Units (15+1):
  – 90% subsidy on the cost of livestock, with a maximum financial assistance of ₹88,200/-

Notes:

• Applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste community
• Applicant must be unemployed (employment in the private sector disqualifies an applicant)
• No mandatory educational or training requirements
• Applicant must have a space/shed available for keeping animals
• Applicants who have previously availed benefits under any Departmental Scheme for establishing a livestock unit are not eligible
• A Self-Declaration confirming unemployment and an undertaking to abide by the scheme conditions is required

General Note:
If an applicant resides at a location different from where the animals are kept (or intended to be kept), the jurisdiction is determined by the location where the animals are kept (within Haryana only).
The cost of milch animals is fixed per NABARD recommendations (2019-20) and may vary based on age, lactation, breed, and weight. Only breeding animals that are in prime production age should be purchased.
