The “Scheme of Financial Assistance for Running Short-term Bridge Courses” is a key component, designed to support industry-relevant training and improve workforce readiness.

Benefits

1. General Assistance

  • Financial Assistance for Fixed Costs

    • Up to 75% of the total fixed cost (including machinery, equipment, classroom furniture, and refurbishing).
    • Maximum financial assistance of ₹1,00,00,000.
  • Refurbishing Support

    • 20% of the project cost, up to a maximum of ₹20,00,000 for upgrading training facilities.
  • Recurring Cost Assistance

    • Covers expenses such as:
      • Remuneration for external faculty
      • Training materials (raw materials, tools, consumables, stationary)
      • Administrative expenses (electricity, other utilities)
    • Subject to approval by the Institutional Management Committee (IMC).

2. Additional Assistance

  • Awareness Programs & Seminars

    • Financial assistance of ₹1,00,000 per training center per year.
  • Other Expenditures

    • Covers studies, renovation, monitoring, and evaluation expenses.
    • Third-party assessment agency fees.
  • Trainee Transportation Reimbursement

    • 100% reimbursement for BPL candidates, SC/ST, SEBC, Physically Handicapped, and Women.
    • 75% reimbursement for all other candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Eligibility for Host Institutes

  • Must be a recognized ITI, Polytechnic, Engineering College, or Government-Affiliated Institution.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in skill development.

2. Eligibility for Industry Partners

  • Must be an industry or industry association with at least 10 years of experience in skill development.
  • Should be legally registered under the Societies Act, Trust Act, or Companies Act.

3. Course Requirements

  • Courses must align with NSDC, NCVT, GCVT, or Sector Skill Council guidelines.
  • A minimum of 25% of course intake must be industry-sponsored.
  • At least 75% of industry-sponsored trainees must be provided employment.
  • The training center must have been operational for at least 5 years.

  1. Submit Application

    • Applications are accepted twice a year (April and October).

    • A Screening Committee will evaluate feasibility and submit recommendations to the State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC) for approval.
