UP SC/ST Pre Matric Scholarship 2025: Financial Assistance for Class 9 & 10 Students

Social Welfare Department UP had launched SC/ ST Pre Matric Scholarship 2025 to provide financial stipend for students from backward communities belonging to Scheduled Caste(SC) and Scheduled Tribe(ST) category. A scholarship meant for the students of secondary education about Class 9th and 10th aiming at removing financial barrier which can stop them in their academic path. The scheme makes the students compliers by ensuring them of matriculation, so that avenues for higher studies and golden future awaits them.


Benefits

  1. Component 1:
    • ₹3,500/- per annum for Day Students.
    • ₹7,000/- per annum for Residential Students.
  2. Component 2:
    • ₹3,500/- per annum for Day Students.
    • ₹8,000/- per annum for Residential Students.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Residential Status:
    • The applicant must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
  2. Caste Eligibility:
    • The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
    • Beneficiaries who are dependents of individuals engaged in occupations traditionally considered untouchable are also eligible.
  3. Financial Eligibility:
    • Component 1: The annual income of the applicant’s parents should not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.
    • Component 2: No income criteria apply.
  4. Other Conditions:
    • All the children of the applicant’s parents are eligible.
    • Students cannot receive other scholarships alongside this one (with some exceptions).
    • The applicant’s age should be between 12 to 20 years as of July 1st.

Step 1: Registration

  1. Visit the Official Scholarship Portal.
  2. Click on Registration under the Student section.

Step 2: Login and Application Submission

  1. Return to the Official Scholarship Portal.
  2. Click on “Fresh Login” under the Student section.
  3. Enter:
    • Registration Number
    • Mobile Number
    • Password
  4. Complete DigiLocker verification.
  5. Fill out the application form with:
    • Registration Details
    • Personal Details
    • Bank Account Details
  6. Upload the required documents.
  7. Complete NPCI verification.
  8. Download the application form.
  9. Submit the completed application form to the institute along with the required documents.
