Saraswati Vidya Yojana 2025: Online Registration, Fee Amount, Eligibility

Under the “Saraswati Vidya Yojana,” the Directorate of Education, U.T. Administration of DNH & DD has instituted “reimbursement of Fees for Diploma/Graduation and Post-Graduation Professional Courses.” Under this program, the girl students enrolled in professional courses of the U.T. Administration receive financial aid.


Benefits

1. Full Reimbursement for Low-Income Families

  • 100% of tuition and academic fees will be reimbursed for girl students whose parental or husband’s income is below ₹1,50,000/-.

2. Partial Reimbursement for Higher-Income Families

  • 50% of tuition and academic fees will be reimbursed for girl students whose parental or husband’s income is above ₹1,50,000/-.

3. Maximum Reimbursement Limits

  • For diploma and undergraduate professional courses: ₹2,50,000/- per year.
  • For postgraduate professional courses: ₹3,50,000/- per year.

4. Extended Reimbursement for 1.5-Year Courses

  • Graduate professional courses (1.5-year academic session): ₹3,75,000/- per academic year.
  • Postgraduate professional courses (1.5-year academic session): ₹5,25,000/- per academic year.

5. Additional Hostel Allowance

  • 50% of hostel charges (excluding mess charges), capped at ₹30,000/- per year, will be provided in addition to the maximum reimbursement limits.

Important Notes

Accommodation fees for students staying as paying guests or in flats will not be reimbursed.
Capitation Fee, Infrastructure Fee, and Development Fee will not be considered in tuition and academic fees.
If hostel charges include mess charges, and they are not separately mentioned, then only 50% of the total fee receipt (capped at ₹30,000/-) will be considered for reimbursement.


Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a girl student.
  • The applicant’s parents, husband, or guardian must be a domiciled resident of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
  • The student must have studied continuously for five years in any high school/higher secondary school in the UT, including SSC/HSC.
  • Only the first two daughters of a family are eligible.

Exclusions

The scheme does not cover students pursuing education via distance learning.
If a student fails in any annual/semester exam, she will not receive benefits for that academic year.
The scheme does not support students pursuing two graduate degrees simultaneously.
