The “Rent Subsidy” scheme is implemented by the Industries and Commerce Department, UT of Puducherry to support Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and women entrepreneurs who start industrial units in rented premises. It offers tapering rent reimbursement over a five-year period from the start of commercial production.
Benefits
• 1st & 2nd Year: 50% of monthly rent
• 3rd Year: 40% of monthly rent
• 4th & 5th Year: 25% of monthly rent
• Maximum ceiling: ₹5,000 per month
• Duration: Subsidy applicable for up to 5 years
• Note: Subsidy is granted only for operational units
