Armed Forces Flag Day Fund: Tuition Fee Reimbursement for Wards of Ex-Servicemen and Widows in Puducherry

Scheme for “Reimbursement of Tuition Fees to the Wards of Ex-Servicemen/widows (Sainik Welfare)” is a Welfare Schemes of Army Forces Flag Day Fund, Dept of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry. Wards of ESM / Widows of ESM studying in Government recognised Institutions are provided by this scheme the reimbursement of their tuition fees. The application to be submitted in hard copy within three months from the date of completion of education.


Benefits

Eligible students will receive tuition fee reimbursement as per the following rates:

NDA/IMA (National Defence Academy/Indian Military Academy) ₹2,000/-

Master Degree ₹1,500/-
Professional Courses (MBBS/BE/BTech) ₹2,000/-

Note: The reimbursement amount will be the rate mentioned above or the actual tuition fees, whichever is lower.


Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a ward of an Unemployed Ex-Serviceman (ESM) or a Widow of an ESM.
  • The applicant must be registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry.
  • The applicant must be studying in a Government-recognized Institution.
  • A maximum of two children per family can avail of the scheme.

Exclusions

  • Students who are repeating the same class are not eligible.
  • Students already receiving an academic scholarship are not eligible.
  • Students availing any other tuition fee reimbursement scheme are not eligible.

Application Process

Offline Application Steps

  1. Download or collect the prescribed application form for the scheme.

  2. Fill out the application form completely and attach the required documents.

  3. Submit the application form at the Rajya Sainik Board at the following address:

  3. Proof of Successful Completion of the Course.
  4. In the case of admission through Management Quota, a certificate from the institute is required.
  5. Original fee receipts detailing the tuition fees paid.
  6. Breakdown of fees (if a lump sum amount was paid) signed by the Head of the Institution.
  7. Declaration Form (signed by the applicant).
  8. Birth Certificate of the Ward (if not already registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare).
  9. Study Certificate of the Ward (if not already registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare).
  10. First Page of Bank Passbook (for Direct Benefit Transfer).
