The “Registration & Stamp Duty Subsidy Scheme” was launched in 2018 by the Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa, as part of the Goa IT Policy. This scheme aims to provide stamp duty subsidies to eligible IT units in Goa, facilitating easier registration and operations of startups and existing enterprises in the state.

Reimbursement of Stamp Duty:
• Subsidy of 100% on the registration and stamp duty charges.
• Maximum subsidy amount of ₹100 on the stamp duty and registration charges.
• The excess amount paid over ₹100 will be reimbursed.
• The subsidy will be provided 2 years from the start of commercial operations or the date of Policy notification, whichever is later. -
Eligibility Criteria:
• All new and existing units must have their operations in Goa.
• The subsidy applies to various business structures like proprietorship, private/public limited companies, LLPs, and partnerships. -
Exclusions:
• Units already availing similar benefits under other government policies are not eligible for this scheme.
