Apply for Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana: Up to ₹10,000 Per Acre for Paddy and Maize Farmers

Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is a scheme launched by the Government of Chhattisgarh on May 21, 2020 (on the death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi) aimed at boosting agricultural production by encouraging farmers to expand their cultivated area. Initially launched during the Corona period to provide relief, the scheme originally covered paddy, maize, and sugarcane crops and has since been expanded to include additional crops such as:

• Arhar

• Soybean

• Fragrant paddy

• Other fortified rice

Under this scheme, financial benefits are transferred directly to the farmers’ bank accounts through DBT in four installments.

Benefits

• For Paddy and Maize:

  • A maximum subsidy of ₹10,000 per acre is provided to farmers planting these crops.

• For Sugarcane:

  • A fixed FRP (Farm Rate of Payment) is given at the rate of ₹93.75 per quintal, with a maximum of ₹355 per quintal.

Eligibility

• Residency:

  • The applicant must be a resident of Chhattisgarh.

• Farmer Category:

  • The scheme is open to marginal, small, and large farmers, including landowners and forest lease holders.

• Age:

  • Applicants must be above 18 years.

Application Process

Offline Process:

1. Download Application Form:

   • Visit the official website and download the application form.

2. Fill the Form:

   • Complete the form with the required details.

3. Attach Required Documents:

   • Attach copies of the following documents:

     • B-1 form

     • Bank Passbook

     • Aadhaar Card

4. Submit Application:

   • Submit the completed application form along with the attached documents to the Rural Agriculture Extension Officer (RAEO) for verification.

5. Registration & Notification:

   • The RAEO will forward the application for registration. Applicants will receive acceptance or rejection notification via SMS, and each registered farmer will be provided a unique ID.
