Promotion of Energy Audit and Conservation of Energy (PEACE)” is a scheme by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. It comprises four main components: Awareness Programme, Training Programme, Detailed Energy Audit, and Implementation of Energy Audit Recommendations. The Training Programme is designed to help MSMEs establish systems to improve energy performance, enhance energy efficiency, and reduce energy consumption and costs. The training is organized by GM, DICs/RJD, Chennai in coordination with MSMEs Associations, Product Associations, Clusters, and other stakeholders.

  – Exposure to effective Energy Management Systems (EnMS) that improve energy efficiency, reduce costs, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
  – Tailor-made training programs designed around utilities and systems relevant to specific industries (e.g., electrical systems such as maximum demand control, power factor control, servo motors, transformers, pumps, fans, air-conditioning units, chillers, DG sets, lighting, air compressors; and thermal systems like boilers, furnaces, dryers, heat exchangers, steam systems).
Programme Duration:
  – Training courses will run for 3–4 days based on specific needs, with possibilities for sector-wise, cluster-wise, or product-wise organization.
Training Faculty:
  – Preferably from organizations such as PCRA, India SME Tech Services Ltd. (SIDBI), National Productivity Council (NPC), or BEE accredited Energy Auditors/Managers and BEE empanelled firms.
Fund Allocation:
  – Each district will host at least one training programme at a cost not exceeding ₹75,000/- per programme.

• Targeted participants are Employees, Engineers, and Executives of MSMEs willing to undertake an energy audit.
• The ideal batch size for the training programme is 20–25 participants.
• For cluster/sector-focused programmes, MSMEs from neighboring districts may also participate.

Application Process

Step 1: Registration
  – Visit the Official Website/Portal of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Department, Government of Tamil Nadu and click on “Login / Registration” in the top ribbon.
  – Complete the registration form by providing your Name, Date of Birth, Aadhaar Number, Email ID, Mobile Number, and create a new password (minimum 8 characters, including 1 Upper Case Letter, 1 Lower Case Letter, and 1 Numeric Field).
  – Enter the captcha code and click “Register”.
Step 2: Login
  – Visit the Login Page, enter your registered credentials received via Email and SMS, and click “Login”.
Step 3: Form Filling
  – Hover over “Schemes” in the top ribbon, select the concerned scheme from the dropdown, then click “Apply Online” followed by “New Application”.
  – Fill in all mandatory fields, review your details, acknowledge the terms, declaration, and privacy policy, then click “Proceed”.
  – Note down the reference number displayed on the screen and click “Close”.
Step 4: Upload Documents
  – Hover over “Schemes” and click “Upload Documents”.
  – Enter your Application ID, click “Submit”, and upload all mandatory documents in the specified format (PDF, file size <200 kb).
  – Click “View” to verify the uploaded documents.
Step 5: Submission
  – Select all required checkboxes and click “Submit Application”.
  – A confirmation message regarding submission will be received on your mobile phone.
