Under this, JKBOCWWB Scheme gives a benefit of scholarship and fee concessions in various institutions or institutes pursuing a professional or technical diploma in areas such as Para Medical, ITI, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, or even for becoming lawyers, under which, registered building workers in J&K with work for a period of more than 90 days consecutively for at least within 12 months before his enrollment get such education benefit.
Advantages
Students will be covered by the scheme as per the course of study undertaken by them with financial support:
- Para Medical Diploma Courses (Regular Students): ₹10,000/- per year
- ITI Diploma Courses (Regular Students): ₹10,000/- per year
- 3-Year Engineering / Other Recognised Diploma Courses (Regular Students): ₹30,000/- per year
- Professional / Technical Degree Courses (Regular Students): ₹50,000/- per year
Eligibility
For Registration:
- The applicant should be a resident of Jammu & Kashmir.
- The applicant should be a registered construction worker.
- The worker should have performed at least 90 days of building or construction work in the last 12 months.
- The worker’s registration should be renewed annually.
For Application:
- The parents of the student should be registered members of the Jammu & Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
- The parent’s membership must be active with the JKBOCWWB.
- The applicant must be a regular student.
- The applicant must have regular attendance.
Application Process
Registration Process:
- Step 1: Visit the JKBOCWWB official website.
- Step 2: Click on “Labour Registration” and choose “Apply for New Registration” if you’re a new user.
- Step 3: Complete the registration form and submit your details. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number for verification.
- Step 4: On successful OTP verification, you would get your Login ID and Password.
- Step 5: Using your Login ID and Password, log in, and fill out the registration form.
- Step 6: Attach all the necessary documents and submit the form. You will receive a registration number after successful submission.
Application for the Scheme:
- Step 1: Open the official website of JKBOCWWB. Log in to the portal by using your SSO ID and password.
- Step 2: Upon login, select “Scheme Registration” followed by “Apply for Scheme.”
- Step 3: Select a scheme to which one wants to apply.
- Step 4: Provide the mandatory information and attach required documents.
- Step 5: Click “Submit Application.”
Track Status:
An applicant may also track their status of an application through an online portal by the JKBOCWWB website. Status will be notified at the mobile number registered in it.
