The “Post Matric Merit Scholarship” is a scheme implemented by the Mizoram Scholarship Board, Government of Mizoram. The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to permanent resident of Mizoram States securing 60% marks in Board/University Examination. The scheme is 100% funding from the State Plan Fund.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Mizoram.
- The applicant must be pursuing regular post-matric studies in a recognized institution in India.
- The applicant must have secured at least 60% marks (First Division/Class) in the last Board/University examination.
- The applicant must not be found guilty of misconduct or breach of discipline.
- Students who are repeating the same level of education in a different subject/faculty are not eligible.
- Students pursuing another professional course at the same level after completing one (e.g., Bachelor of Teaching and Bachelor of Education) are not eligible.
- Postgraduate medical students are eligible only if they are not practicing medicine during their course.
- Correspondence course students are not eligible.
- If a student is awarded another scholarship or stipend of higher value, they must choose between the two and notify the awarding authority.

Offline Application
- The application period is usually from July to September.
- Applicants must collect the application form from the Mizoram Scholarship Board during office working hours.
- The completed application form along with necessary documents must be submitted to the Mizoram Scholarship Board for verification and processing.
