Launched in 2018 by the Department of Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) scheme is a national initiative aimed at ensuring food security for all beneficiaries, especially internal migrants. The scheme allows any beneficiary covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), with Aadhaar-seeded ration cards, to access Public Distribution System (PDS) benefits from any Fair Price Shop (FPS) across India.
