The Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana was launched by the Labour and Employees’ State Insurance Department, Government of Odisha. The scheme provides financial assistance for the education of children of registered building and construction workers under the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (OB&OCWWB).

Eligibility
- Only wards/children of registered building & construction workers are eligible.
- The worker must have completed at least one year as a registered beneficiary under the OB&OCWW Board.
- Assistance is provided only for two children per family.
- Classes 6th and 7th: Scholarship applicable only for girls.
- Class 8th onwards: Scholarship is applicable for both boys and girls.
- 20% additional benefit is provided to girl children from Class 8th onwards.
- The worker must have an active bank account (DBT enabled).
- 50% attendance is mandatory for students to avail the scholarship.
- The worker must have paid up-to-date annual contributions to the Board.
Application Process
Online Application
- New users: Click on the Registration link on the Odisha State Scholarship Portal: scholarship.odisha.gov.in.
- Existing users: Click on the ‘Login’ button.
- Enter Aadhaar number and proceed.
- Check registered mobile/email for the User ID & Password.
- Log in to the portal and fill in personal, academic, eligibility, and bank details.
- Click “Save as Draft” or proceed by clicking “Next”.
- Preview the form, download and print it.
- Application will be verified by the District Labour Officer in the e-Shramik Portal.
- Once approved, the scholarship amount is disbursed via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
