Under this scheme, an amount of ₹6000 is transferred annually in three equal instalments to eligible farmer families. As per Government Resolution No. Kisani-2023/CR 42/11 A dated 15/06/2023, farmers eligible for PM Kisan Yojana automatically qualify for the benefits of the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana (NSMNY).

Eligibility

Exclusions

Beneficiaries of higher economic status are excluded, including:
(a) All institutional land holders
(b) Farmer families with members holding or having held constitutional posts, ministerial positions, elected offices, or key administrative positions (including serving/retired government officers, employees of public sector undertakings, and regular employees of local bodies, excluding Multi-Tasking Staff/Class IV/Group D employees)
(c) Superannuated/retired pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff/Class IV/Group D employees)
(d) Persons who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year
(e) Professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects registered with professional bodies
(f) Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
