Eligibility

The applicant should be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
The age of the applicant should be 18 years or above.
• The milk producer/animal rearer must have adequate space/shed available for keeping the animals.
• The milk producer/animal husbandry should not already own more than 02 cows of indigenous advanced breed (such as Gir, Sahiwal, Haryana, Tharparkar) or F-1 cows of hybrid breed.
• The applicant must purchase an indigenous improved breed of cows from outside the state.
• The applicant should purchase cows of indigenous improved breed in their first or second calving.
• The applicant must purchase disease-free and healthy cows.
• The applicant should take animal insurance for all the cows purchased for 03 years.
• The applicant must also arrange transit insurance to transport the cows from the place of purchase to the establishment site.

Application Process

Offline

Step 01: Eligible applicants can visit the official website and download the application form (Annexure-1).
Step 02: Fill in all the mandatory fields of the application form, attach copies of all required documents (self-attested, if required).
Step 03: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Chief Development Officer or Chief Veterinary Officer.
Step 04: Request a receipt/acknowledgment from the officer; ensure it includes the date, time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).

After Selection Process:
Step 01: Upon receiving the selection letter, the beneficiary should purchase the indigenous improved breed within 02 months (eligible breeds include Gir, Sahiwal, Haryana, Tharparkar).
Step 02: For identification, ear tagging through microchips/ear tagging system is mandatory.
Step 03: The beneficiary must handle all legal formalities and maintain records for purchasing animals independently.
Step 04: After purchase, the beneficiary needs to reapply using the prescribed format (Annexure-2) to receive the grant within a maximum of 01 month.
