Launched by the Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura, this scheme provides financial assistance to persons with disabilities in the form of a monthly pension. The pension of ₹2,000 is directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). - Residency:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Tripura.
- Disability:
- The applicant must be a Person with Disability (PwD) with a disability falling under any of the following categories:
- Blindness, Low-Vision, Leprosy-cured, Hearing Impairment (deaf & hard of hearing), Locomotor Disability, Dwarfism, Intellectual Disability, Mental Illness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Chronic Neurological Condition, Specific Learning Disabilities, Multiple Sclerosis, Speech and Language Disability, Thalassemia, Hemophilia, Sickle Cell Disease, Multiple Disabilities (including deaf-blindness), Acid Attack Victim, Parkinson’s Disease.
- The applicant must be a Person with Disability (PwD) with a disability falling under any of the following categories:
- Income Criterion:
- The annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Age:
- The applicant should be 10 years of age or above.
- Additional Requirement for Families:
- If the family has children aged 6 to 14 years, those children must be enrolled in a school recognized by the Government of Tripura.
Exclusions
- Income taxpayers are not eligible.
- Government employees are not eligible.
- Individuals whose family members are already receiving benefits under any other category/sub-category of ‘Mukhyamantri Samajik Sahayata Prakalpa’ (except for infirm & PwDs) are not eligible.
- Pensioners receiving benefits under the “National Social Assistance Program (NSAP)” or any of the 32 State Social Pension Schemes of Tripura are not eligible.
Application Process
Offline Process
- Obtain the Application Form:
- Visit the Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) and request a hard copy of the prescribed application form, or print the form if available.
- Fill the Form:
- Complete all mandatory fields (signed across, if required) and attach self-attested copies of all necessary documents.
- Submit the Application:
- Submit the filled and signed application form along with the documents to the CDPO Office in the area where the applicant resides.
- Acknowledgment:
- Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the concerned authority. The receipt should include the date, time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
Post-Selection Requirement
- Annual Submission:
- After selection, Life Certificate and Income Certificate must be submitted to the CDPO during November each year.

- Income Certificate from the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM).
- Age Proof Certificate (Birth Certificate / School Certificate / Madhyamik Admit).
- Ration Card issued by the Food & Civil Supplies Department.
- Aadhaar Card.
- Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) issued by the Sub Divisional Administration.
- UDID (Unique Disability Identity Card)/ Registration Number/ Slip.
- Non-Government Employee Certificate from Panchayat Secretary/Ward Secretary/Gazetted Officer.
After selection, additional certificates (Life Certificate & Income Certificate) are required annually.
