Types of Assistance Under the Scheme
The scheme provides two types of assistance:

Benefits
1. Aftercare (for children above 18 years)
- Internship Support
- ₹5,000 per month during the internship period (maximum 1 year).
- Vocational Training Support
- Free vocational training in ITI, Polytechnic, Nursing, Paramedical, Hotel Management, and other government skill development programs.
- ₹5,000 per month for training (maximum 2 years).
- Higher Education Support
- Financial assistance of ₹5,000 – ₹8,000 per month for students admitted through NEET, JEE, or CLAT.
- Course fees covered by the state government.
2. Sponsorship (for orphan children under 18)
- Economic Assistance
- ₹4,000 per month per child, deposited into a joint account with a guardian or relative.
- Financial aid continues until the child turns 18.
- Medical Aid
- Ayushman Card provided for healthcare benefits.
Eligibility Criteria
For Aftercare
- Children who have stayed in childcare institutions for at least 5 years (including the year of release).
- Orphaned or abandoned children exempted from the 5-year stay requirement.
- Children not placed under adoption or foster care but rehabilitated in a childcare institution are eligible.
- Assistance is available until the age of 24 years or the prescribed time limit, whichever comes first.
For Sponsorship
- The child must be under 18 years of age.
- Both parents must be deceased.
- The child must be living with a relative or guardian.
- The guardian/relative must not be eligible for benefits under the Mukhyamantri COVID-19 Bal Seva Yojana.
Application Process
For Aftercare
- Childcare institutions will identify children who turn 17 years old.
- The superintendent/manager of the childcare institution will prepare an individual care plan.
- A list of children eligible for internships, training, or higher education will be compiled.
- The committee formed under the scheme will review applications and approve assistance.
- Approval orders will be issued through the portal.
For Sponsorship
- District Program Officers or Child Protection Officers will identify families eligible for assistance.
- The families will be contacted to complete applications.
- Home Study Reports & Social Investigation Reports will be prepared as per the Madhya Pradesh Sponsorship Guidelines, 2020.
- The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) will review applications and declare eligible children as “in need of care and protection”.
- Approved beneficiaries will receive assistance through the official portal.
