The “Digital India Internship Scheme”, introduced by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), is designed to provide students an opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical work environment. This internship will be conducted in New Delhi, and the mode of internship (virtual or physical) will be decided by the concerned supervisor/mentor based on requirements.

Internship Duration: Minimum 2 months (extendable up to 3 months based on performance).

- Cyber Laws
- Public Policy on Internet
- Project Appraisal and Funding Methodologies for Electronics and Semiconductor Manufacturing Units
- Other domains in IT, CS, ECE, Electrical, Law, and Finance
Benefits
- Stipend: ₹10,000/- per month (subject to satisfactory performance, certified by the mentor).
- Certification: Interns will receive a Certificate of Completion after successfully submitting the final project report.
Mode of Stipend Payment:
- The stipend will be transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the intern’s bank account.
Eligibility
- Indian students from recognized universities in India.
- Must have secured at least 60% marks in the last held degree/certificate examination.
- Students in the previous one year of study (not in the final semester or those graduating in summer 2024).

- B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech (CS, IT, Electronics & Communications, Electrical)
- M.Sc. (CS, IT, Electronics, Electrical)
- MCA/ DOEACC ‘B’ level
- L.L.B (only for Cyber Laws & Public Policy on Internet)
- B.E/B.Tech (EC/Electronics) + MBA (Finance) OR M.Sc. (Electronics) + MBA (Finance)
Exclusions
- The internship is not an offer of employment with MeitY.
- Students in their final semester or graduating in summer 2024 are not eligible.
- The internship does not guarantee a job at the Ministry.
- No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) is provided for interviews.
- Interns cannot claim intellectual property rights on work done at MeitY.
- Interns are not allowed to interact with third parties or the media on behalf of MeitY.
