The “Marketing Assistance Scheme” is implemented by the Karnataka Leather Industries Development Corporation Ltd (LIDKAR) under the Government of Karnataka. It is designed to empower Scheduled Caste (SC) leather artisans by providing them with direct access to markets through LIDKAR Leather Emporia, ensuring they are not exploited by private dealers and receive regular product procurement opportunities under the Lidkar brand.
