- Monthly Fellowship:
₹31,000 per month, for up to 3 years. - Annual Contingent Grant:

The fellowship and associated project can be undertaken for a maximum of 3 years.
Eligibility
- Residency:
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala. - Professional Background:
Must be a retired scientist or academician from Kerala, with a record of service in reputed institutions and significant scientific contributions. - Superannuation:
The candidate should apply within 5 years of superannuation. - Research Credentials:
The applicant must have published at least 3 peer-reviewed research papers in SCI-indexed journals (with an impact factor > 2.0) in the last 3 years or filed at least one patent. - Prior Fellowship:
Applicants who have previously availed an Emeritus Scientist Fellowship (from KSCSTE or elsewhere) are not eligible. - Research Centre:
The proposed work must be carried out in a KSCSTE-recognized R&D centre.
Application Process

- Step 1:
Eligible applicants must apply via the KSCSTE Web Portal for new applications at https://submit.kscste.kerala.gov.in/. - Step 2:
The application undergoes preliminary scrutiny to verify basic eligibility and document compliance. - Step 3:
All eligible applications are subjected to peer review by five subject experts (three from within Kerala and two external experts). Only proposals with at least three reviews graded above 5 (on a 10-point scale) are considered further. - Step 4:
Shortlisted candidates are invited for a presentation before the Programme Advisory Committee (PAC). One or two reviewers from the peer review panel will participate as subject experts during the presentation. - Step 5:
On favorable recommendation by the PAC, the proposal is considered for funding by KSCSTE. Selected applicants are then required to execute an agreement in accordance with the scheme guidelines.
