Benefits

  • Tuition Fees, Annual Fees, One-Time Fees, Hostel Charges, and any other deposited amount will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
  • Mess/Hostel Charges:
    • ₹1,200 per month for Degree students (for 10 months).
    • ₹1,000 per month for Diploma/Polytechnic/ITI students (for 10 months).

Note:

  • Caution money and refundable deposits are not covered under the scholarship.
  • If a student discontinues their studies, provides false information, or receives another scholarship, the KALIA Scholarship will be canceled.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Children of KALIA beneficiaries (Support to Cultivators & Livelihood Support to Landless Agricultural Households).
  • Parental eligibility under KALIA must be verified at the Chief District Agriculture Officer (CDAO) level.
  • Admission on a merit basis in a Government Institution of Odisha.
  • Cannot be availing any other scholarship. If already receiving another State or Central Government scholarship, the student must choose between the two.
  • A student can receive the KALIA Scholarship only once for one professional course.

Online Application

  1. New Registration
    • Visit the State Scholarship Portal.
    • Click on “Registration” if you are a new user. Existing users should log in.
    • Enter Aadhaar number to proceed.
    • Receive User ID and Password via registered mobile/email.
  2. Application Submission
    • Log in using User ID and Password.
    • Fill in Personal, Academic, Eligibility, and Bank Details.
    • Click “Save as Draft” or “Next” to continue.
    • Preview the form, download, and print for records.

Post-Application Process

  1. Verification by Institution

    • The Head of the Institution will verify the student’s admission details, roll number, and parent’s name.
    • Verification of Hosteller/Day Scholar status.
    • Ensure the student is not receiving another scholarship.
    • Forward the verified application to the Chief District Agriculture Officer.
  2. Scholarship Disbursement

    • If multiple applications are submitted, only one will be considered.
    • The scheme automatically renews yearly if the student maintains eligibility.
    • The Head of Institution is responsible for authenticating eligible students.
