The Jharkhand Krishi Rin Mafi Yojana was launched by the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Cooperative, Government of Jharkhand on 7th January 2021. It provides relief from the debt burden for short-term agricultural loan holders in the state by waiving outstanding loan amounts of up to ₹50,000/- on standard crop loan accounts as of 31st March 2020. Standard crop loan borrowers on this date are eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.

Benefits

Eligibility
• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Jharkhand
• Applicant’s age must be more than 18 years
• Applicant must be a farmer who either self-cultivates or cultivates leased land
• Must be a small or marginal farmer who has availed a loan via the Kisan Credit Card
• Applicant must have a valid Aadhaar number and be a ration card holder
• Must hold a Kisan Credit Card and a standard crop loan account
• Only one member per family holding a crop loan is eligible
• This is a voluntary scheme for all crop loan holders
• A token fee of ₹1/- is required for the application

• Qualified Banks: Commercial Banks, Scheduled Co-operative Banks, and Rural Banks
• Qualifying Loan: Short-Term Crop Loan disbursed up to 31.03.2020
• Eligible Loan Accounts: Single & Joint; loans taken for crop diseases are included
Exclusions
• Borrowers who are former/present members of legislative bodies, ministers, or current chairpersons of municipal/district bodies
• All serving/retired officers and employees of Central/State Governments (except Multitasking Staff / Group-IV / Group-D employees)
• Retired pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000/- or more (except specified categories)
• Professionals such as registered doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects
• Persons who paid income tax in the last assessment year

• Step 3: Your basic details (name and loan amount) will be displayed upon entering your Aadhaar number
• Step 4: Enter your ration card number
• Step 5: Click on the name under which the loan is registered
• Step 6: Review all displayed information and click “Submit”
• Step 7: Authenticate your Aadhaar to verify your identity
• Step 8: Proceed to pay the application fee
• Step 9: After successful payment, receive a confirmation slip for your application
