The Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana was launched by the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities, Government of NCT of Delhi, through Cabinet Decision No.2526 dated 12-12-2017. The scheme aims to provide coaching for economically disadvantaged Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates, helping them to compete effectively in competitive examinations and secure jobs in both the public and private sectors.
Objective
- Group A and B examinations are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), and Judicial Services Examination.
- Group A and B examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commission;
- Officers’ Grade examinations conducted by Banks, Insurance Companies, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
- Premier Entrance Examinations for admission in (a) engineering (e.g. IIT-JEE & AIEEE), (b) Medical (e.g. AIPMT), (c) professional courses like Management (e.g. CAT) and Law (e.g. CLAT) and (d) such other disciplines, Government may decide from time to time.

Delhi SC Coaching Scholarship Benefits
- Stipend: A stipend of ₹2500 per student per month will be given to local students for attending coaching classes.
- Coaching Fee: 75% of the eligible coaching fee will be paid by the Government. If the family income of the student is a maximum of ₹2.00 lakh, the entire coaching fee will be paid.
- Coaching Opportunity: Coaching can be obtained by students for a maximum of two times. But for the second time, only 50% of the eligible fee will be given.
Delhi Govt SC Scholarship Eligibility
For Students:
- Residency: The resident of Delhi must be the applicant.
- Category: The candidate should be of Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
- Educational Qualifications: The candidate should have passed class 10 and 12 (or should be studying class 12) from Delhi schools.
- Income: Total family income should not be more than ₹6.00 lakh per year.
- Age: Students up to the age of 35 years can avail of the scheme.
- Merit: Candidates should fulfill the standard academic requirements of the course where coaching is being provided.
For Coaching Institutions:
- Registration: The institution must be a registered institution, according to the Societies Registration Act or Companies Act.
- Experience: The institution must possess experience of minimum 3 years and minimum 100 students being enrolled every year for a period of at least two years.
- Infrastructure: The institution must have adequate infrastructure in place to ensure quality coaching.
Application Process
Offline Application:
- Visit the concerned coaching institutes or reputed institutions/NGOs.
- Collect the registration form from the institution.
- Fill in the mandatory details and attach the necessary documents.
- Submit the completed application form to the respective coaching institution.
- Once the application is verified, students can avail the benefits of the scheme.
Note: Students should be selected based on academic criteria or eligibility tests as prescribed by the institution. In the absence of fixed criteria, selection will be based on merit.
