The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) is a multi-disciplinary organization under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. It launched its Internship Programme in 2017 to provide a platform for young scholars and researchers from reputed institutions pursuing post-graduation or research programs in Economics, Commerce, Law, Management, and Computer Forensics. The program also welcomes students from professional courses offered by ICAI, ICAI (CMA), and ICSI.
Interns will gain valuable insights into the functioning of SFIO and the Government, acquire specialized skills, and work in collaborative teams. The internship includes engagement with officers at SFIO Headquarters and its Regional Offices.
- Duration : The internship is available for a minimum of one month and a maximum of two months.
- Declaration of Secrecy : Interns must sign a Declaration of Secrecy before beginning the internship.
Note: The internship does not guarantee a job at SFIO.
Benefits
Stipend
Interns will receive a stipend of ₹7,000 per month for the duration of the internship.
Certificate of Internship
Interns will be awarded a Certificate of Completion after successfully finishing the internship and submitting their end-of-assignment Report, which will be evaluated by an SFIO official.
Eligibility
1. Nationality
- The applicant must be an Indian National.
2. Educational Qualifications
- The applicant must be any one of the following:
Students in Postgraduate Courses:
- MBA (Finance) students.
- Law students in 4th/5th year of a five-year integrated course with excellent academic records.
- Fresh law graduates with a first-class graduation degree.
Students Pursuing Post-Graduation:
- Candidates with at least 55% marks in their graduation.
- Students pursuing Masters/Research in Economics, Finance, Management, Law, or Computer Forensics from recognized universities in India or abroad.
Final Year or Equivalent Students of:
- ICAI, ICAI (CMA), and ICSI.
- Central Universities, AICTE-recognized institutions, National Management Institutes, and Foreign Institutions of Excellence.
3. Graduate Applicants
- Must have secured First Class in Graduation.

- The final selection will be made based on student suitability and availability of internship positions.
