The International Centre for Environment Audit and Sustainable Development (iCED) was established by the Indian Audit and Accounts Department (IA&AD) and the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India. This internship program provides students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure in environmental auditing, sustainable development, and related fields.
The internship focuses on key areas such as Blue Economy, Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Environmental Law, and Gender-related themes, allowing students to contribute to policy development and research.
Duration
- Minimum: 2 months
- Maximum: 6 months (Extension is based on performance and project requirements)
Number of Interns : Two interns per institution/university will be selected.
Benefits
Token Remuneration
- ₹10,000 per month (for conveyance and daily expenses).
- ₹5,000 per month (if boarding & lodging are provided by iCED).
Certificate of Internship
- Issued upon satisfactory completion of the internship, submission of assignments, and evaluation by the competent authority at iCED.

- Students must be from a recognized university/institution of national or international repute.
- Preference given to candidates awarded “Junior Research Fellowship” by UGC.
- If applications exceed the required number, a screening process will be conducted.
Application Process
Online Submission
- Download the prescribed application form from the official website.

Selection Procedure
- A Screening Committee, nominated by the Director General (DG), iCED, will review all applications.
- Final selection will be conducted by a Committee of Senior Officers, including the DG, iCED.
Internship Work & Submission of Assignments
- Interns must document and classify research materials logically.
- A research paper on how iCED/IAAD can use the collected material must be submitted.
- Intellectual property rights of the research will rest with IA&AD due to the mentoring provided.
