The HMNEH Scheme is part of the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. In Meghalaya, the scheme is implemented by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of Meghalaya. It is designed to enhance horticultural productivity and quality by promoting:

The mission covers the entire horticultural value chain—from production to consumption—through backward and forward linkages, and it is operational in all North Eastern states and select Himalayan states.
