- ₹300/- per month is disbursed through Anganwadi Centres as Transport Allowance.
Eligibility Criteria
- Residency:
- The applicant must be a Native/Resident of Puducherry for at least 5 years.
- Disability:
- The applicant should have an orthopaedic disability of 40% or above.
- Income Limit:
- The applicant’s annual income should not exceed ₹75,000.
- Age:
- The applicant must be 5 years or older.
- Education:
- Applicants without formal education qualifications are eligible.
- Exclusions:
- Applicants must not be receiving any other financial assistance for conveyance purposes from the Department or any other source.
- If the applicant holds a free bus pass, it must be surrendered to the Directorate of Social Welfare.
Application Process
Offline Application:
- Collect Application Form:
- Visit the Office/Sub-Office of the Department of Social Welfare during office hours to obtain the prescribed application form.
- Offices:
- Puducherry: Deputy Director, Differently Abled Section, Directorate of Social Welfare.
- Karaikal: Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department (Sub Office).
- Mahe/Yanam: Welfare Officer (i/c), Social Welfare Department (Sub Office).
- Fill the Application Form:
- Complete all mandatory fields.
- Paste a recent passport-sized photograph (signed across if required).
- Attach self-attested copies of the required documents.
- Submit the Application:
- Submit the duly filled application form to the concerned authority.
- Acknowledge Submission:
- Request a receipt or acknowledgment containing submission details (date, time, unique ID).
Online Application Process:
- Step 1: Fist of all user have to Visit the Official e-District Portal of the Government of Puducherry.
- Step 2: After that you will find “Login” At the top right corner of the home page, then click on “Login“. In the login screen, click “Register a New Membership“.
- Step 3: On the Registration Page, fill in all mandatory fields, including:
- Username
- Password and Confirm Password
- add your Personal Details: Full Name, Email Address, Address, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile Number
- Agree to the declaration, fill in the Captcha Code, and click “Signup/register“.
- Step 4: After completing your registration process, Now please return to the e-District Portal and click “Login“. Enter your Username and Password, fill in the Captcha Code, and click “Sign In“.
- Step 5: On the dashboard, a list of Government Schemes will be displayed department-wise. Select the Grant of Transport Allowance to Differently Abled Persons scheme.
- Step 6: Fill in the online application form, completing all mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk. Upload the required documents (self-attest if necessary).
- Step 7: Tick the declaration stating, “I hereby declare that the above-mentioned details are true and correct as per the best of my knowledge“. Submit the application and note the application number for tracking.
