Goa Labour Welfare Scheme: Financial Assistance for School Uniforms for Children of Industrial Workers

Goa Labour Welfare Scheme 2025—”Grant of Financial Assistance to the School going children of industrial workers/employees studying in I Standards for Supply of one set of Uniforms by Goa Labour Welfare Board Under Govt. of Goa, Department of Labour and Employment, Goa. This scheme is directed at mitigating financial hardship among industrial workers as it will reimburse them for buying school uniform of their children studying in 1st to4th standard.


Objective

To offer financial assistance to industrial workers/employees to cover the cost of one set of uniforms for their children studying in primary school (1st to 4th standard), thus promoting education and reducing financial stress on low-income families.


Benefits

  • ₹1,600/- per student per annum for the purchase of one set of uniforms.
    • For Boys: Shorts/trousers and shirts.
    • For Girls: Frock.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Employment Status:
    • The applicant must be an industrial worker/employee.
    • The applicant must be registered with the Goa Labour Welfare Board.
  2. Service Duration:
    • The applicant should have at least 6 months of continuous service with the Board at the time of application.
  3. Income Limit:
    • The applicant’s monthly salary should not exceed ₹20,000/-.
