In order to address the inadequate infrastructure and crowded conditions government-aided educational institutions in urban areas including Panaji, Margao, and Mapusa within Goa face, the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa, has created the “Establishment of Integrated Educational Complexes” scheme These complexes are supposed to be complete learning hubs with all the conveniences—such as playgrounds and auditoriums—so providing a suitable environment.
Originally at Bambolim, the scheme calls for the construction of Integrated Educational Complexes at Margao, Mapusa and Bambolim. Since many of the schools situated in Urban areas are running in congested areas or flats and lack space for infrastructure facilities such playground, auditorium etc., which does not provide the right school atmosphere, the Integrated Educational Complex is a unique approach to provide better education (with common facilities) to students coming from all backgrounds.
