The “Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme (ESDP)” is launched by the O/o DC-MSME under the “Development of MSMEs” vertical. It aims to nurture entrepreneurial talent among youth by enlightening them on various aspects of setting up Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The program is designed for those interested in establishing self-employment ventures and is conducted in collaboration with technical institutions, business schools, and industrial training institutes.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP): • One-day awareness activity for 50–100 persons per district

Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Programme (E-SDP): • Existing E-SDP: 6-week product-cum-process oriented hands-on training
• Advanced E-SDP: One-week advanced training through premier institutes like IIMs, IITs, NITs, etc. (20 participants) -
Management Development Programme (MDP): • Existing MDP: One-week management capacity-building program (25–30 participants)
• Advanced MDP: Conducted through reputed national institutions (25 participants)
Additional Features: • Emphasis on flagship schemes (MUDRA, Start-Up India, PMEGP, SC/ST Hub)
• Sessions on alternate funding (Angel, VC, Crowdfunding)
• Information on State Government schemes
• Special focus on backward districts and North-Eastern regions
• Participants to receive Udyam registration support
• MBA/Engineering students offered internships with experience certificates
Eligibility
• Participants must be 18 years or older
• Youth interested in business/self-employment
• 40% of beneficiaries should be from weaker sections (SC/ST/Women/Physically Handicapped)
• Fee exemptions available for SC/ST/Women/BPL/Ex-servicemen/Disabled persons
• Qualifications and fees decided by Implementing Agencies
