The “Dr. P. G. This scheme is designed to provide financial assistance to Scheduled Caste medical post graduate doctors (M.D/M.S) to help them establish their independent practice, such as setting up a clinic or consultation room. The scheme aims to empower doctors from the Scheduled Caste community by easing the financial burden associated with starting their professional ventures.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a Medical Post Graduate (M.D/M.S) Doctor.
- The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Caste category.
- The applicant must be a native of Gujarat.
- There is no income limit for availing the scheme.
- The scheme excludes Scheduled Caste students with Graduate Medical degrees (MBBS, B.S.A.M., B.A.M.S., B.D.S.) who have already benefited from loan/assistance schemes for starting an independent profession, as they are not entitled to additional benefits under this scheme.
- Beneficiaries availing assistance under this scheme cannot simultaneously avail benefits from any similar government scheme.
Important Notes:
- The loan assistance provided for margin money must be used strictly for the intended purpose. Any deviation will result in the recovery of the amount with penal interest.
- The sanctioned loan will be recovered over a period of four years in equal monthly instalments (including interest) or within eight years, whichever is earlier.
- Applicants have the option to repay the outstanding amount earlier than stipulated.
- Failure to repay within the stipulated time will incur a penal interest rate of 2.50% on the overdue amount.
