The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Udyog Uday Yojana is an umbrella scheme initiated by the Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat. It supports SC/ST entrepreneurs in establishing competitive and certified MSME units across Gujarat. The scheme is valid from August 7, 2020 to August 6, 2025.
The “Assistance for Quality Certification” component helps MSMEs in the manufacturing sector to obtain national/international quality certifications and install ERP systems, enhancing quality standards and efficiency.
Benefits
ERP Assistance
• 75% of the capital cost for installing an ERP system, up to ₹1,00,000/-
• Includes software, installation charges, and annual service costs
• SaaS-based subscriptions are eligible
• Hardware costs are excluded
Quality Certification Assistance
• 60% of the fee for national/international certifications (e.g., BIS, ISI, WHO-GMP, Hallmark)
• 60% of the cost of testing equipment and machinery, up to a maximum of ₹10,00,000/-
Eligible Expenses Include
• Certification agency fees (excluding travel, hotel, and surveillance charges)
• Cost of testing equipment and quality machinery
• Calibration charges for equipment
Eligibility
• The enterprise must be a Micro, Small, or Medium Enterprise (MSME)
• The enterprise must be run by an SC/ST entrepreneur with 51% or more ownership
• The enterprise must be in the manufacturing sector
• Application must be submitted within one year from the date of certification issuance
Exclusions
• Certifications that are statutory requirements are not eligible
• Testing equipment purchased after the issuance of the quality certificate is not eligible
