The Distance Education Scholarship is an initiative of the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala to support differently-abled students pursuing Degree and Postgraduate (PG) courses through Open Universities, Distance Education, or Private Registration (in universities within Kerala). Mode of Application:

Online Application through SUNEETHI – Online Service Application Portal

Registration Process:

  1. Visit SUNEETHI Online Service Application Portal.
  2. Click on “One Time Registration”.
  3. Enter Name, Email ID, and Mobile Number and click Register.
  4. Verify mobile number via OTP.
  5. Fill in profile details and click Register.

Login & Application Process:

  1. Go to SUNEETHI Portal and click “Citizen Login”.
  2. Enter Mobile Number and Password and click Sign In.
  3. Update Personal Details, Identity Cards, and Bank Details.
  4. On the left pane, select the scheme name and click “Apply Now”.
  5. Fill in all mandatory fields in the application form.
  6. Click Submit.

  • Application must be submitted within 3 months of course registration.

Step 01: To avail of the benefits of the scheme, the applicants need to visit the official website of the Social Justice Department, Government of Kerala, and download the application form.
Step 02: The applicants need to fill out the application form completely.
Step 03: The duly filled application forms have to be submitted to the concerned Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs).
Step 04: The CDPOs have to conduct an inquiry and scrutinize the documents and submit the same to the respective District Social Justice Officers.
