The Dhanvantari Arogya Rath Yojana is an initiative of the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board. Under the Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department of the Government of Gujarat, the scheme focuses on providing primary medical treatment and basic health care at the doorstep of construction workers and their families. The basic aim of this plan is that essential health care can be reached up to construction site, labour camps, and Kadianaka from where any labours’ wouldn’t be found to cover hundreds of kilometres. This programme will be jointly working under Health department and EMRI Green Health Service Gujarat GVK-108 by a Tripartite MoU. Advantage
Benefits
Main Treatment: The scheme offers primary treatment for common diseases such as fever, diarrhea, vomiting, and skin diseases.
Laboratory Tests: Laboratory tests carried out at the camp site, including blood tests, urine tests, blood sugar levels, and tests to diagnose malaria
Health Care for Families: Primary health care for women and children including antenatal care for women of child-bearing age.
Free Medicines: They are freely dispensed to the beneficiaries when they visit the Arogya Rath.
Eligibility
- The beneficiaries of this scheme will be the construction workers who have registered themselves under the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board (GBOCWWB).
- Beneficiaries to the family: The family members of those workers who are registered under this act will also be receiving the necessary treatment and medical care in this plan.

- First Aid at Site: First aid and basic medical treatments are provided on-site at construction locations, Kadianaka, and labour colonies.
- Beneficiaries’ Access: Registered workers and their families can directly visit the Arogya Rath at designated locations to avail of the benefits.
