The Director Scheduled Caste Welfare, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of Gujarat started the “Coaching Assistance Scheme for Preparation of Recruitment Exams for Scheduled Caste Students.” Launched in 2017–18 is the program Financial support is given to Students of the Scheduled Castes category who are getting ready for all State Government and Central Government Recruitment Examinations of Class– 1, 2 & 3 conducted by UPSC/GPSC/State Commission/Bank/LIC/Subordinate Services Selection Board.
Benefits
- Financial assistance up to ₹20,000 or the actual tuition fee, whichever is lower.
- The assistance amount is directly transferred to the student’s bank account via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria for Students:
- The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category of Gujarat.
- The applicant must have passed graduation with 50% or more marks.
- The maximum age limit is 35 years for males and 40 years for females.
- The applicant and their parents must not be in government employment.
- The applicant cannot pursue full-time studies, jobs, or business elsewhere during coaching.
- The benefit is available only once per applicant.
- The student must submit details of the recruitment exam(s) taken after coaching completion to the Deputy Director, Office of Scheduled Caste Welfare.
Eligibility Criteria for Institutions:
- The institution must have at least three years of experience in coaching.
- The institution must have a valid GST Number/PAN Card.
- The institution must use biometric (fingerprint) attendance systems for students.
- Faculty members must have a minimum qualification of graduation with general knowledge expertise.
- The institution must be registered under one of the following acts:
- Mumbai Public Trust Act, 1950
- Companies Act, 1956
- Shops and Establishments Act, 1948

- Click ‘Citizen Login’ and then ‘New User? Please Register Here’.
- Fill in your details (Full Name as per Aadhaar, Gender, Date of Birth, Aadhaar Number, Email ID, Caste, etc.) and click ‘Register’.
- Login using your User ID and Password.
- Click ‘User Profile’ and update your details.
- After updating, select the Coaching Assistance Scheme from the homepage.
- Fill out the application form and upload the required documents.
- Agree with the terms & conditions and click ‘Save Application’.
- Submit the application form and print a copy for future reference.
Important Notes:
- Students must apply online to avail of this scheme.
- Only students approved online by the concerned Deputy Director will receive payment after training completion.
- Coaching assistance will be paid only to meritorious beneficiaries based on state-level verification.
