Uttarakhand Child Benefit Scheme (UKBOCWWB)

The Child Benefit Scheme is a social security initiative by the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (UKBOCWWB), Labour Department, Government of Uttarakhand. This scheme provides financial assistance for the education of children of registered building and construction workers from Class I to higher education levels or professional courses.


Benefits

The financial assistance provided under this scheme is as follows:

ITI, Polytechnic, and Higher Education Courses Government Institution fees will be covered

Note: The financial assistance will be given in one installment per academic session.


Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  • Applicant must be engaged in building or construction work.
  • Applicant must be registered under the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (UKBOCWWB).
  • Workers become eligible for assistance only after 3 months of registration under the Board.
  • Worker should have an active membership with the Board.
  • Financial assistance will be given for a maximum of two children per worker.
  • Children must be enrolled in any recognized institution from Class I to a higher education/professional course.

Application Process

Online – Via CSCs (Common Service Centers)

For New Registration under UKBOCWWB:

  1. Construction workers who have completed 18 years of age but have not exceeded 60 years and have worked for at least 90 days in the previous year can apply for registration.
  2. Visit the nearest Jan Seva Kendra or Shramik Suvidha Kendra with all required documents for online registration.
  3. Upon successful registration, the applicant will receive a Registration Number for future reference.

Important Notes for Registration:

  • The registration process is free of cost.
  • Registration is valid for 3 years, and after renewal, a ₹100/- contribution will be required for every next 3 years.
  • A photo identity card will be issued to the applicant after verification.

Important Notes for Application Submission:
