The Chief Minister’s UPSC Combined Civil Services Coaching Scheme is an initiative by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to provide free coaching for Arunachal Pradesh Schedule Tribe (APST) candidates who aspire to appear for UPSC Civil Services Examinations. Important Features
- The government previously provided financial assistance of ₹2,00,000 for clearing UPSC Preliminary Examination and ₹3,00,000 for UPSC Main Examination.
- Financial assistance is also extended to APST candidates qualifying for other UPSC exams, such as CDS, NDA, IFoS, IES, IEoS, CPO, and CHS, with ₹2,00,000 per candidate (one-time payment).
- Coaching will be conducted within the state to reduce the economic burden on students.
- Coaching will be provided through reputed institutes and registered societies/NGOs.
- A one-time amount is given directly to students.
Benefits
- Training cost of ₹70,000 per student for General Studies (including study materials).
- Training cost of ₹30,000 per student for Optional Subjects (Geography, Public Administration, Sociology, etc.), with a 3-month course duration.
- Benefits can be availed for one year from the time of enrollment.
- The training cost is restricted to 25 students per batch.
